What is Squidoo?
Squidoo is an online community of people just like you, where we can all go and make a lens. We can make as many as we want to make. Each one has the potential to make you money. Squidoo is a fun place to be where you can make a lens on just about anything. Their rules have gotten a little more strict lately, but if you are just starting with Squidoo, it shouldn't be a problem at all. Just be sure to read the rules, just like any other site you would join.
What are Squidoo Lenses?
A Squidoo Lens is basically a one page web site. You pick a topic, such as Games for Kids or Weimaraners or anything else you feel like making a lens about. You click on 'Start A Lens!' then just fill in what it asks you to do. Really easy!
When you come to the lens page, you can add what they call 'Modules', such as 'Text Modules', 'Amazon Module', or 'Image Modules'. These simply make a place for you to put text, images, or what ever else you choose. Amazon Modules are your main money maker, but you can also do ebay or a few others that can also earn you money. You can experiment with it all and just have fun with it. There are many modules to choose from, so play around with them and see what works for you.
How do I Earn Money with Squidoo?
Earning money with Squidoo is really fun and easy. My favorite module to use is the Amazon Modules. Simply add one to your lens, then you can pick out which item from Amazon is most relevant to your lens. You can have up to 20 Amazon products on your lens. When people click on your amazon products and buy them, you get money. Even if they don't buy the product on your lens, as long as they click your link, anything they buy through that link you will get money. It's wonderful when people go on a spending spree!
You get paid once a month, and you set your pay out amount where you want it. I recommend putting it at $1.00 so as long as you make at least $1.00, you will get paid. Make sure you have a paypal account. I can't remember if there are other ways to be paid, but paypal has worked well for me.
You also have the choice to put a small percentage of what you make towards a charity of your choice.
How Much Money Should I Expect to Earn with Squidoo?
How much you earn with Squidoo depends on you. It will depend on how many people visit your lens, and how many people are interested in what you have to offer. Some people pull in $500 - $1000 a month, these people usually have well over 100 Squidoo Len's made. Other people only pull in a few dollars, a few cents, twenty dollars ...etc... Everyone is different. It is up to you on how well you do with Squidoo. It took me a while to get my first dollar, but once I did, I now make $10 or so a month with out doing anything at all. Some months I make less, some more. It all depends.
To sum it all up, is Squidoo worth your time? I'd say definitely! Just don't expect to make money with it right away. If you want to see money faster, and more than just a few cents, check out this Video or try Bubblew.
